The Call To FreedomSample

The Call To Freedom

DAY 3 OF 5

 Galatians 3:22

But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

You are called to be a representation of God on the earth. "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters." (Romans 8:29).

It has been God's plan from the beginning that His people reflect Him and look like His Son Jesus. In the opening chapter of the Bible, He decided to make man in His very own image and likeness. Even after the fall of man in the garden of Eden, God made a way for man to reflect Him on the earth. The last Adam came in the form of man and lived the life we couldn't live without sin and blemish. He then died the death we deserved and defeated death and the power of sin over His people. Rendering to those who believe in Him total freedom from sin, death, and hell. It is in this true freedom that a believer becomes more like Jesus.

God desires that His people be conformed to the image of Christ. "Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior. But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—   if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant." (Colossians 1:21-23).

Action step: As you draw nearer to God, He draws near to you,  the more you will grow to know His ways. The more time you spend in His presence, the more freedom you experience.

Prayer: Father God thank You for Your love and Your grace for my life. I need Your presence with me in the tough times as well as the good times. Help me to long to spend time in Your presence and in Your word. In Jesus' name, Amen
