FREEDOM IS A CHOICE

So you’re probably thinking, Is that it? All of a sudden, I’m just free?

Great question.

Every day when you wake up, you have decisions to make. Whether to hit the snooze button four times or to get up on the first alarm. To take a shower or roll out of bed and accept the bed-head. Who you’re going to hang out with. 

So much of your life is spent making decisions. The freedom God has given you works similarly. Every day, the choice is yours. Not your mom’s or dad’s. Not your brother’s or sister’s. Not your girlfriend’s or boyfriend’s. The choice is yours to either live in freedom from sin or return and live as a slave to sin. 

So today, how are you choosing to live in freedom? Will you choose to walk in the shame of Instagram comparison, or will you walk in the freedom of knowing your heavenly Father made you perfectly? Will you continue to walk in the guilt of what you looked at on your phone last night, or will you choose to confess, knowing that in Christ you can find forgiveness? 

Freedom from sin is one of the greatest gifts you’ve ever been given. With freedom comes joy, and with joy comes the abundant life you and I were created for. We were not made for shame, guilt, and bondage — we were made for much, much more!
