From Beginning To End - Quarter 2Sample

Long before Saul’s death, God chooses his replacement, a boy named David. Saul even plays a part in the rising prominence of this boy. Verse 7 is a theme of 1 Samuel. The ways we would expect things to turn out are not how God chooses to operate.
Today’s chapter is both sad and uplifting. God gives up on Saul, but He prepares the path forward. I pray I never get to a point where God gives up on me, but no matter how dark the days, He will still have the future in view.

About this Plan

This is part two of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one story from beginning to end of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
