Jesus, I Want to Love You (Prayer)Sample

Jesus, I Want to Love You (Prayer)

DAY 1 OF 3

This plan intends to guide us in prayer to prepare, soften, and till the soil of our hearts. We want to grow in our understanding of Christ's love and in our ability to receive His love so that we can live in and enjoy His boundless love, moment by moment, from the depths of our souls. You can continue to pray the prayers in this plan as you go through the other reading plans of the same title: Jesus, I Want to Love You.

Begin by reading Galatians 5:22, 1 John 4:16, and Romans 5:5.

When we are in Christ, our soul has been renewed by the Holy Spirit, without whose divine work, none can enter the kingdom of heaven. Because of God's great love for us, while we were still sinners Christ died for us! In His mercy, He revived us—He brought us from death to life! Before Christ, we were dead in our trespasses and sins; yet because of His great love, we have been made alive in Him!

Now we are the Lord's servants. Let us do the work of living the gospel no matter what, when, or where. May the motivation and the meditation of our hearts be the love of Christ. May we know the love of Christ, walk in the love of Christ, and share the love of Christ. It was love that brought the gospel to us, and now we want to share the gospel in love.

"Lord, please open my eyes and let me see you and your love for me. Open my heart to love you more. Jesus, I want to love you! In your name, Amen."
