Dry Bones: Take It Off The Shelf

Day 1 of 4 • This day’s reading

Devotional

The Hand of The Lord.

“The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,” Ezekiel 37:1 KJV

Ezekiel was sent and set by God in the valley of dry bones. Oftentimes, God sends us and places us in dead, dry, and dark places. Our mandate, as His Children, is to be light and to speak life into the dead, dry, defeated and forgotten about things. We are to say what God says concerning the circumstance.

Sometimes, we are set in these abandoned and forgotten about places in order to breathe life and to bring order into chaos and disfunction. God has anointed our hands to build and God has given us the grace to help others build. The gifts, talents, and abilities that He has placed on the inside of you are not for your benefit and self exaltation — the gifts and talents that are buried inside of you are to be used to Glorify God. Through you, God uses your gifts to build up the old and breathe life into the worn down things. God has given you the authority to rebuild and to speak life into stagnate areas.

In this season, and in every season, it is important to be led by God in everything that you both say and do. The Hand of the Lord was upon Ezekiel and God’s Hand is on you. God will carry you through the valley. Even though dry bones may surround you, don’t be discouraged by what you see around you, God sent you there in order to do something miraculous for Him.

The Hand of God is with you to transform cultures and to ignite environments. Speak life into your workplace, speak life over your family, speak life into your dreams and visions. Speak life into forgotten about dreams, visions and goals. Stay the course and speak life to the valley of dry bones. Say what God is saying. Restore hope in others. Help others fulfill their dreams. Fulfill your dreams. It’s time to build.
