REJOICE IN THE LORD

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Philippians 4:4-5 

Jesus says if we want to be His disciples, we must deny ourselves and take up our cross daily and follow Him. It is not easy, but these are the real qualifications for a Christian, not any degree obtained from any university or college. 

I want to tell you about two people here at Shalom who carry their cross every day, follow Jesus wholeheartedly and rejoice in Him. 

My foremen, Simeon Bhengu, can’t read or write, but he’s a mighty man of God. He’s the only man who makes me weep when he lays his big hand on my head and starts praying for me. His faith is evident in his life. 

Then we have a little boy at our children’s home. His name is Ntokoza and he is mentally disabled. He stands about one meter tall. I’ve never known a boy who worships God like this little boy does. Whenever there’s an altar call he’s always first in front. He loves Jesus and he rejoices in the Lord every day. 

Are you living the real Gospel as a witness of the Lord Jesus Christ? 

Dear Lord Jesus, I repent of not living the true Gospel. I ask today, Lord, that You do in my life whatever it takes so that I will put You first. I will rejoice in You. Amen
