When was the last time your parents asked you to do chores, and you actually wanted to do them? Probably never, right? It’s not much fun to think about spending your Saturday morning scrubbing counters, vacuuming, or doing laundry. And so naturally we tend not to put much effort or positivity into it.

Now, imagine if your favorite athlete, musician, or actor invited you to their house to help out with some chores. Think your effort level and attitude would change? Um, yeah! The truth is, we can find that same effort and positivity in our work at home, too. How? By remembering we’re ultimately doing it all for God. 

Today, try memorizing this short verse. Then the next time you’re struggling to knock out your chores list, remember that you’re  really working hard for God Himself.
