PEACE AT ALL TIMES

"Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you." 2 Thessalonians 3:16

As I write this piece, the sun is setting. The colours of the sky are so beautiful. Everything is pink, orange and bright red. It seems that the sky is on fire. But the setting sun, this beautiful ball of fire that the Lord created, reminds me today that so many people feel sad when the sun goes down and darkness sets in. They think of all the sad things in their lives. The troubles in life overwhelm them. 

They feel so lonely. They worry about what the future holds.

But I have good news for all of you who are sad, lonely and anxious today. The Son never sets. 

Hallelujah! The Son of the living God, Jesus Christ, says He will be with you always, He will never leave you and He will never forsake you. He is the light of the world. He will be your light in dark places, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your heart. He, the bright Morning Star, will shine brightly in your life. He will give you His peace at all times, in all situations and in every way. 

The Lord will be with you in every situation in your life. His loving arms are around you.

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your promise to be with me always and give me Your peace at all times and in all situations. I need You in my life, Lord, to be my light and guide me. Amen
