From Beginning to EndSample

The focus of the story is about to shift from Jacob to one of his sons, Joseph. Jacob seems to be re-orienting his life more toward God. When Rachel dies while giving birth to a son, Jacob does not react in bitterness, but names him Benjamin, which means “son of the right hand.” We can change, just like Jacob did. We need to rely on God rather than our own schemes.

About this Plan

This is part one of a four-part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one story from beginning to end of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
