What things in your life do you devote a lot of your time, energy, and attention to? Your friends, your significant other, your possessions, your talents? Oftentimes without even realizing it, we direct our dedication and devotion toward so many things other than God. And when we put those things first, we are giving them the worship that only God deserves. Even though those things may not be bad or harmful for us, they still shouldn’t hold the top spot in our lives. Only God is great enough for that much dedication, devotion, and worship. This week, pay attention to the things you give the most of your time, energy, and attention to. Are they distracting you from following and worshiping God?
