Prayers For PurposeSample

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. John 14:12

Heavenly Father, I know I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I can do greater works than I ever imagined because of the presence of God in me. This is Your word, Lord, that it is not by might nor by power but by Your Spirit that I am able to accomplish anything of worth and lasting value (Zachariah 4:6). 

I ask for the abiding presence of Your Spirit on me and in me, and especially as it relates to my work. As I abide in Your presence, Your hand will grant me favor, meaning and significance in what I do as I bear much fruit (John 15:8).

Open for me Your good storehouse, give rain to my land in its season. Bless all the works of my hands. May I lend to many and not borrow. Make me the head and not the tail - above, and not underneath as I seek to listen and obey Your commands in all I do (Deuteronomy 28:12,13). In Christ's name, amen.
