What would a scary monster look like to you? The Israelites were scared stiff by a real giant!
Read 1 Samuel chapter 17, verses 1 to 11, verse 16 and verse 26, if you haven’t already done so.
Goliath was three metres tall. That’s almost twice the height of an average man.
And he was in full armour—with plenty of weapons.
Look at the Bible verses again and see how many items are listed! The Philistine army were very happy to have Goliath on their side! But to the Israelite army, Goliath was a terrifying sight!
