DAY FOUR: Moving Mountains  

Consider one of the most amazing promises ever to flow from the lips of the Messiah:

“Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says” (Mark 11:22-23).

Apparently this was intentional exaggeration. No one—not even the Son of God—has ever literally ripped a mountain out of the ground with his words. It was a mini-parable, a word-picture connecting an important concept to an unforgettable mental image.

Because there’s nothing more immoveable or intimidating than a lofty mountain, it represents the most immoveable, intimidating or challenging situations we could ever face in life. Notice, the Savior did not encourage us to plead with God to move our mountains; He taught us to take authority ourselves. So lift your voice and say:

“I command this mountain to move right now, in the name of Jesus!”

Then fulfill the three conditions:

1. Have faith in God


2. Don’t doubt in your heart.


3. Believe what you say will come to pass.

Power proclamation: I proclaim that I have authority from God to speak against the mountains in my life. I have faith and I refuse to doubt, in Jesus’ name.
