The Joy In Falling

DAY 5 OF 7

 Now What?

Have you ever stumbled or fallen in a public place? It's a pretty embarrassing thing to do. Some people fall and pop right back up. Others may fall and take a few seconds to grasp what just happened before getting back to their feet. Either way something went wrong somewhere and our mind tries to evaluate the situation and adapt so it doesn't happen again.

We finished yesterday with a powerful reminder. God isn't finished with you yet. When we go through the falls and valleys in life we need to be able to proclaim that promise. The situation you're in may not be an ideal one, but we must stay fully devoted to Our Father and trust in His plan. There have been times when I go through the fall and I find myself asking "Now What?" I actually used to think that it was my actions that led me to nose dive flat on my face.

One of the worst things that we can do is try to get up all on our own. I would often find myself ashamed of where I was at and become too afraid to ask for help. I would let my pride get in the way of a blessing from My Father. We need to be able to let go of our pride and our selfish ways to be more aware of the 'Now What?' that God has for us. If we start to make a plan to get back up and it doesn't include an intentional conversation with Our Father we've already failed.

Focus: While you continue to place one foot in front of the other have an intentional conversation with God today. Spend time in prayer to see how you can reevaluate the situation and adapt. Pray The Lord will turn your weaknesses into strength.

About this Plan

The Joy In Falling

If you're reading this, chances are you are in a similar place I once was. You may not be an athlete with endorsements or sponsors. You're probably not waking up from an extensive ten hour and twenty minute knee surgery....
