When we ask God for wisdom, how does He answer us? Sometimes, He speaks to you through your parents, teachers, friends, or other trusted people.
What do you do if your friends think your parents, teachers, and other trusted leaders are all wrong? That’s a tough one! And it’s exactly what happened to King Rehoboam in the Bible.
Sometimes, God can speak through your friends. But, if all the trusted adults in your life disagree with your friends, maybe your friends are wrong. Ask God to give you the wisdom to listen to your trusted leaders—even when it might upset your friends.
Talk It Over: Have your friends ever asked you to make a choice that you know your parents or other trusted leaders have asked you not to make? How can you use wisdom from God in that situation?
