Matthew tells the story of how Jesus came to fulfil all the promises and purposes of God with Israel. He shows how Jesus walked through Israel's history to complete God’s grand saving plan. 
We are so familiar with the parables and miracles in Matthew’s Gospel, but we've overlooked the majestic story the evangelist shares. It’s both comforting and challenging, and will truly blow your mind. 


The Gospel of Matthew - Fulfilled in Jesus

This 3-day devotional explores the Beatitudes as an invitation into God’s upside-down kingdom, where blessing flows through humility, surrender, righteousness, mercy, and purity. It emphasizes that God’s commands are purposeful and transformative, not arbitrary. Followers of Jesus are called to pursue reconciliation, endure opposition with faithfulness, and find identity in Christ even amid suffering. Ultimately, the Beatitudes reframe hardship by pointing believers toward eternal reward and deeper communion with God.

As we explore each beatitude, take time to reflect on your Christian journey. Are there things that are not aligned to the teachings of Jesus that you need to adjust?  

The Beautiful Attitudes

This phase in Jesus’ life is focused on leadership development. As the movement continues to grow, Jesus begins to hand-select from his disciples a few to be servant leaders of the movement. After a full night of prayer, consulting with his Father, Jesus appoints twelve men who will begin their apprenticeship as leaders and will eventually become the leaders of the movement.
