Christmas Plans
Christmyths
Most people picture the first Christmas. Mary and Joseph show up on a donkey, get turned away from a hotel and end up in a barn. Jesus is born, wrapped in blankets and set in a feeding trough. Shepherds, three wise men, animals, and angels were all there (according to nativity sets). Is that the true picture? Not exactly. Let’s separate the true Christmas from Christmyth.
A Christmas Prophecy Devotional
There’s much more to the Christmas story than what is written in the gospels. In fact, the Christmas story starts in Genesis. Threads of the story of the Messiah are woven throughout the entire Old Testament, and the hope of a Redeemer is written on the souls of mankind. Journey through just a few of over 400 prophecies of the Messiah in this 5 Day prayer devotional, and gain a richer view of King Jesus this Christmas.
Alone But Not Lonely
A 3-day devotional by Danielle Apicella, sharing real journal entries and key revelations God gave while she was very young. This devotional focuses on identity in Christ, purpose in Christ, and finding contentment in Christ.
Rediscovering the Christmas Season
Start a new Christmas tradition with a non-traditional twist on the season of Advent. An ideal start date for this adventure is December 1st, while an earlier start allows a more relaxed pace. Includes reflection questions and action steps to center each day on Christ. Great for individuals, families, or small groups.
Prepare Him Room
Preparing for Christmas takes on many different forms for us all. Although we might become entangled by the flurry of decorating, family, cooking, or wrapping gifts, we must not miss the true celebration. Since the sixth century, Advent has served as a time of preparation for the event of Christmas. It reminds us to prepare our hearts as well as our homes for the glorious celebration of Christ’s birth. The hymn writer said, “Let every heart prepare Him room.” Truly, we must set aside time and make room for the Prince of Peace to reign in our busy lives. He alone is the One who brings true hope, love, joy, and peace.
