The OT order is a combination of chronology and genre. The Story (Genesis – 2 Kings), The Prophets (Hosea – Zephaniah, Isaiah, Jeremiah-Ezekiel, Daniel), Wisdom (Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Songs), Post-Exile perspectives (Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi). The NT order is by authorship - Luke-Paul, Matthew-Hebrews-James, Mark-Peter, John (accompanied by a Psalm a day)

Dear SVCA family, 

In 2025, the church's Bible reading plan is arranged for daily reading of 2-4 chapters from the Old Testament and the New Testament, along with one chapter of wisdom books to help us practice praise, thanksgiving, and prayer. Following this plan, we will read through the Old Testament once (Psalms twice) and the New Testament once (epistles of Paul twice) in a year.

Charis Bible College Summer Bible Reading Plan

We believe in doing life around the presence of God by pursuing an intimate friendship with Him DAILY. A large part of this pursuit is digging into the Word of God. Use this reading plan: one chapter each of Psalms, Proverbs, a Gospel, a New Testament, a couple of Old Testament chapters, and a chapter of Revelation daily. When the plan stops, keep it going, this is a daily discipline!
