This is the second quarter of a plan to read the entire New Testament in one year. One Gospel is included in each quarter. Weekends can be used to reflect on or memorize a key verse. Notes   are also included to assist with understanding.

Holy 90 (The Four Gospels)

Luke’s Gospel is a beautiful and powerful telling of the life of Jesus. Luke focuses on Jesus as the Son of Man, the foretold Messiah who came to “seek and save the lost” (Luke 19:10). This Gospel shows us the “Upside-Down Kingdom” - that God uses what the world deems foolish and weak to shame the wise and strong.

Christ as Man: A Study in Luke

The Good News of Jesus is not supposed to be respectable! It’s a radical call to live a humble and sacrificial life. As Christians, we believe the four Gospels are not just historical books but words inspired by God to teach and transform us to become more like Jesus. Jesus told a lot of parables: stories about everyday life, but with a deeper spiritual meaning. The parable of the loving father shows us God’s gracious attitude towards people, and questions our own attitude towards God and fellow humans.

The Parable of the Loving Father

Mary & Joseph’s walk of obedience brought God’s deliverance for all men. Mary kept the promise of God her focus by surrounded herself with miracle believing people. Joseph's obedience was necessary for Mary’s promise to be fulfilled. 

Could your obedience be the door to someone else’s promise fulfilled?

This simple plan will lead you through the Gospel According to Luke from beginning to end.

In the “God With Us” study, we will walk through Luke 2:1-38 and take a closer look at three key components of the Christmas story: the arrival, announcement, and assignment of Immanuel. 

God With Us

The Christmas story is found in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. An Angel visits Mary to tell her that she would give birth to the Son of God. Jesus is born in Bethlehem. The shepherds come to see him, and the Magi from the east follow a star to Jesus.
