Uncharted - Navigating the Unknown With a Trusted GodSýnishorn

DAY 1 - HIS WORDS CREATE WORLDS
Faith is such a big topic. What does it truly mean? Is it just thinking positively? Is it hoping for the best in challenging circumstances? Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is the assurance of the things that we hope for, being proof of things we do not see and being convinced of their reality as a fact, although it is not yet revealed to the senses.
The world believes that once we see something, we can actually believe it. It is true, look I can prove my maths results. Or there you go, I am sick because my doctor says so and can show you the markers to prove it. But the kingdom operates in a different way. Hebrews 11:3 (TPT) describes it like this: 'Faith empowers us to see that the universe was created and beautifully coordinated by the power of God's words! He spoke and the invisible realm gave birth to all that is seen!' It seems when God speaks, He creates.
Often, we find ourselves in uncharted land. You haven't built a business before, you haven't had a teenager before, or you haven't guided your parents through the transition of old age before. These circumstances are stressful on their own and we often long for God to speak into those areas. Paul reminds us in Romans 10:17 that faith arises in our own hearts when we hear Christ speak. Even Jesus demonstrated this kind of lifestyle if you care to read Matthew 4:4. He compares His Father's words to something that is so normal, accessible and completely satisfying, like bread. We cannot afford to treat His words as a luxury, but rather it is a necessity in life.
As we navigate the unknown or the uncertainties of life, His words matter. They guide us as we go.
Ask yourself these two questions -
* What role does His words play in your life?
* What has He spoken to you lately?
Let's pray together -
Father God, thank you for speaking into my life. Thank you for being personally involved in every detail of my life. Thank you for guiding me where I feel uncertain. Amen.

About this Plan

Throughout history, explorers have been those who refused to accept the limits of their world. Every new age hurls us into deep uncertainty and leaves the individual with new terrain and complexities to navigate. Fortunately, we don't have to accomplish this in our own strength. Within Hebrews 11 we find people who have steered through challenging times just like we have. Discover the keys that made them successful. You, my friend, are called to be a hero of faith.
