Save the DateExemple

We’ve all made decisions we regret. And if we’re honest, we’d all probably say we can see how those bad decisions led to a “death” of some kind. Maybe a lie we told led to the death of trust in a relationship. Maybe a decision we made led to the death of a friendship. No matter what it is, our wrongs always lead to death of some kind.
But in this letter to the Romans, Paul tells us that God gives us the gift of life. Sure, there are consequences to our sins, but in Christ, we can still have life. Even out of our worst choices and poor decisions, new, full, eternal life is still possible. God is the One who brings that life. The same God who raised Jesus back from the dead can take the things that appear dead in our lives and bring them to life.
How have you seen sin lead to a sort of death in your life? Confess those to God and ask for Him to breathe new life into those places in you this week.
