The Vow: Covenants, Contracts and Broken Promises (Part 1)
Sometimes it seems like the moments we want to do better, all types of opposition arises. This is nothing new. Since the beginning of time, mankind's best intentions always feel short. It's quite simple, Our vows to do better, in of themselves, lack the strength necessary to be followed through. We need God's grace to empower us to be what we were created to be for life's most important relationships.

The most important relationship we can have in our life is the one we have with our Heavenly Father. Deep within us all is a desire to please the Lord. The only thing is our vows in of themselves lack the strength necessary to be followed through. We need God's grace to be who He has created us to be.
Deuteronomy 6:4-8 introduces a pivotal truth to the Jewish faith - the Shema. The Shema was an agreement made by God to cover sin; sickness; and poverty. Also known as “the curse.” This promise was given by God on the basis of His love for His people -- not their own right doing.

Covenant is the basis on which God relates to mankind. Covenant is the vehicle in which He delivers an authentic relationship to us.

Just as we have Girl or Guy Code, Covenant is GOD CODE.

Covenant - vow; treaty; agreement

Note: A covenant is only as secure as the integrity of the parties involved in the covenant process.

the eternal plan of redemption entered into by the three persons of the Godhead, and carried out by them in its several parts. One of the distinctive features of the religion of the Bible. No other system of religious thought, past or present, contains an emphasis on divine grace comparable to that of the Bible.
Ingredients of Covenant Love (as found in Ephesians 5:21-33)

It must be a sacrificial love.
It must be a purifying love.
It must be a caring love
It is an unbreakable love.
