JAY SKYLAR
… holiness is not restricted to “religious” matters: all of life is a stage of which holiness is to be lived out.
Generosity isn't just being nice or giving a little extra. It's leaving margin to pursue justice and show that people matter more than profits. That's what holy living looks like.
God’s people are to be holy like He is, “loving your neighbor as yourself,” in homes, workplaces, among the marginalized, in the court of law, in worship, and in the community.
LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF
Jesus makes clear love is to be the mark of a Christian.
LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF
Paul and James clearly agree that this is core to a Christian keeping the law.
LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF
The natural human tendency is to try to find a way out of this.
Who is your neighbor? Anyone with whom one interacts with over the course of the day.
Who or what has shaped the kind of person you are becoming?

Where do you think our society does the best job and worst job of treating people with dignity and justice?

When you see brokenness or injustice in the world, what gives you hope that things can actually be made right?

Who would you say is your “neighbor”? What loving step can you take toward them this week?
