Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study
Join us on Wednesdays as we are studying the study on the book, The Christian Atheist, Believing in God but Living as if He Doesn’t Exist. Ask yourself, ‘Am I putting my whole faith in God, but still living as if everything were up to me?’ This study will challenge you to move from head knowledge to heart knowledge.

Women of Purpose
Women of Purpose Women’s Ministries – upcoming events:
~ WOP Christmas Dinner is scheduled for Friday, Dec 14 — More information to follow.

New Life For Girls
The ladies will be ministering in song and testimony on Sun., Nov 4. Plan on bringing someone who would benefit from hearing what God can do to change your life.

Water Baptism Service
We will have a water baptism service during our morning worship service on Sun. Nov 11. If you have not yet been water baptized and would like to be, fill out a pink form by the Information Center and we will include you for that day.

BODY NEWS

New Security In Place
Our new security system in our children’s ministries is in place. Both doors leading into the lower level will be locked. The entrance on the right has a camera and buzzer system. You will need to press the alert button and someone on the inside will let you in.

Faith Pledges
We made it! With last week’s pledges received, we have surpassed the $10,000 goal.

Deacon Board News
On Sun. Jan , 20, we will have our annual business meeting. There are some changes that need to be made to our constitution concerning board members and elections. Currently we are unbalanced in our election process. Due to various circumstances, we currently vote for 4 members one year and only one member the next 2 years. In order to balance this out, the deacon board has proposed suspending the requirement of having 6 members plus the Pastor to having 4 members plus the Pastor until we get back on track to voting for 2 members every year as our constitution currently states. We need membership approval for this modification, so we will be having a short meeting next week (Oct 21) following church to discuss and vote on this temporary change.

Prayer Chain Update
As we update our current prayer chain, in addition to the phone chain, we are going to add the ability to receive prayer requests via text message. This way everyone will receive it at the same time and there won’t be a need to forward the information to the next person. If you would like to be a part of the text prayer chain, put your name and “TEXT”on a blue card and we will add you in.
