3. Why Double-Mindedness Blocks Receiving from God
James says the double-minded person should not expect to receive.
Faith is the channel through which God’s promises are received.
Many believers are not defeated by circumstances.

4. Symptoms of a Double-Minded Heart
1. Constant Instability
Are your circumstances determining your confidence?
When our faith is anchored in an unchanging God, our lives become stable.
2. Indecision

1. Settle What God Has Said
2. Renew Your Mind
Renew your mind daily with Scripture.

3. Eliminate Competing Allegiances
Ask yourself:
-What am I trusting besides God?
-What do I fear losing most?
-Where does my security truly come from?

4. Develop Consistent Obedience
5. Keep Your Eyes on Jesus
The answer to double-mindedness is not trying harder.
It is focusing more clearly on Jesus.
It is focusing more clearly on Jesus.
8. God’s Reward for a Single Heart
When the heart becomes united:
-Peace replaces confusion.
-Stability replaces inconsistency.
-Confidence replaces fear.
-Faith replaces doubt.

God can entrust much to a person whose heart is fully His.
God is actively looking for wholehearted people.
Ask yourself:
-Where am I divided?
-What promise have I been wavering on?
-What fear keeps competing with my faith?
-What area have I not fully surrendered to God?
