Greek: ἐσπλαγχνίσθη (esplagchnisthē) = To be moved with compassion; have compassion; to be moved as to one's bowels.
Simplified Definition: Compassion is connecting with His heart towards His people.
Compassion is action-based, not something to just understand intellectually.
The Church at large has empathy but it needs to move from empathy to true compassion.
Empathy is feeling with someone.
Empathy is feeling with someone.

Compassion is love moved into action.
In simple terms:
- Empathy feels the pain
- Compassion moves to meet the need
Warning:
If your eyes see and your heart feels, but you never move to action, you’re not walking in compassion—you’re settling for comfortable Christianity.
Feeling isn't the finish line—obedience is.

Feeling is the initation.

1 million people live in Fort Worth.

If the 1,300 people in the room shared with 3 people every day, the Gospel would be shared 3,900 times per day!

It would take 256 days, or 8.5 months, to tell the whole city.

If 30% of those people say "yes" to Jesus, that's 300,000 salvations!
Greek: ἐκβάλλω (ekballo) = To cast out, drive out, send out.

Practical Advice:

Warning:
If you never step out in any of these ways and move beyond your comfort zone, you may not actually be seeing people the way God sees them—because when God sees people, He moves toward them.
"Who is my neighbor?"
The religious people saw the need, but they didn't stop.
Are you the kind of person who loves?
Do you reflect Jesus by loving your neighbor?
The full meal is both private and public encounters with God.
