Bold Men Don't Run From A Fight! ⚔️

Men!

You weren’t made to sit quietly while culture drifts.

The Dad Dash on March 14th is a line in the sand for men across the West Valley to compete for life.

40 yards of speed.
A loadedbarbell.
A punt, pass & kick drill.

But this isn’t about ego.

It’s about responsibility.
It’s Dad's modeling courage.
It’s about protecting life.

It’s about funding Choices Arizona Pregnancy Center as they fight for babies and support women every single day.

Bring the family for food trucks, raffles, a silent auction, and bounce houses.

But men… this is your arena.

Don’t watch this one.

Experiences and encounters aren’t enough to lead you into truth.
You must guard yourself with bold doctrine built on the Word of God.
SERMON TITLE: Spirit-Filled Church (Part II) - Bold Doctrine
1. Boldness is walking in obedience to God, no matter the cost.
2. Boldness is courage born out of complete trust in God.
Three Groups of people existed at Pentecost:
Group 1 - Spirit-Filled followers of Jesus.
Group 2 - People curious and open to the possibility of Jesus.
Group 3 - People skeptical and doubting the claims of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit loves turning messed-up people into Spirit-filled messengers.
When the church ACTUALLY begins to believe that Jesus will show up in response to boldness, culture gets changed.
It's easy to miss an encounter with God because His movement doesn't look the way you think it should.
What's God been inviting you into that you've disqualified yourself from?
What's the Holy Spirit done around you that you’ve been cynical about because it doesn’t fit into your theological box?
We live in a feelings-first culture, and it’s negatively influenced the church.
Would you know where to look in the Word of God to test your feelings?
Three 'spirits' to test against scripture:
#1 - Your Own Thoughts & Emotions
#2 - Your Own Wants & Desires.
#3 - Advice & Prophecy From Others
The goal of prophecy, according to [1 Cor. 14:3-5], is three things:
1. Build Up
2. Stir Up
3. Cheer Up
Everyone is a theologian.
The question is: Are you a good one or a bad one?
Right beliefs produce right actions.
Peter doesn’t allow bad theology to creep into God’s activity.
He anchors the Holy Spirit's actions in Biblical truth.
Lord = Kurios [κύριος]
ruler, master, lord, one who exercises authority over.
God is totally sovereign and knows all things at all times. Yet, He is also totally loving and gives us free will to act on our own.
Three Ways Peter Uses Scripture To Identify Jesus as God:
1. Jesus has an equal and divine position and power. [vs.34]
2. Jesus has an equal and divine authority. [vs. 33]
3. Jesus has an equal and divine title. [vs. 36]
It's the right doctrine of the Gospel that shows the sinner he needs a savior, the prodigal he needs a Father, and the saved person he still needs grace.
