Would you like to get to know others better? The River Church is committed to helping others grow in their faith and developing deeper connections with others. Our small groups are a great way to do this. We have groups for all ages and stages of life. They meet at different days and times to help provide an opportunity that can fit your schedule.

Ready to step into serving at The River?
We are looking for a few individuals who would be willing to be ushers on Sunday mornings. As an usher you will welcome people into the Worship center. You will help pass out bulletins, assist people in finding seating if needed, filling the communion tables and checking the worship area in between services. If you have any questions, email Leslie@HitTheRiver.com.

We will have a Grief Share group, here at The River. This group will meet every Tuesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Lacene Downing is leading the group. You can register for the group by going to HitTheRiver.com and clicking the Events tab. For more information about GriefShare go to griefshare.org.
September 18 - 6-Week Ladies Bible Study
Ladies, Join us for a grace-filled, Scripture centered journey designed for women who love Jesus and want to have honest, shame-free conversations about alcohol, stress, and spiritual renewal. The 6-week bible study begins at 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 18. Email Emily Schultz at emily@sobersis.com to sign up and receive your study materials.
September 28 - Church BBQ
We are going to have a backyard BBQ here at the River at 5:00 p.m on Sunday, September 28. The church will be providing pulled pork and hotdogs. We will have sign ups for side dishes and desserts on the table in the lobby. Mark your calendars, we hope to see you there!
October 3 -Unshakeable Conference
An evening gathering of women seeking Jesus, overcoming life's challenges and growing resilient though encouraging messages, worship and community. The after party includes late night appetizers, bonfire & smore's, fellowship and fun! This is a regional event and tickets are free but you must be registered to attend. Sign up at HitTheRiver.com. October 25 - Fall Fest
Join us at The River's Fall Festival on October 25 from 1-3 PM! Our festival will kick off with Trunk or Treat from 1-1:45 and inflatables, face painting, crafts, games, and food will be available all afternoon. Invite friends, family, and neighbors to join you for some free fall fun! Several volunteers are needed in various areas and so are trunks! Trunks participating in Trunk or Treat do not need to register, but we ask that you provide enough candy for 200 kids and please no spooky, scary, or non-church-friendly themes. If you are interested in volunteering during the festival, please go to HitTheRiver.com. We will see you there!

Bring your lunch and join us in the Cafe at noon. Enjoy an hour of fellowship and connection! You are always welcome to bring friends along with you.
October 6 - Ladies Book Club
October 6th we will be discussing Mothers of a Nation by Carlene Havel and Sharon Faucheux from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
October 8 - J.O.Y. Group (just older youth)
We meet at The River from 1:00 - 2:30 pm. This is open to all River attenders, their friends and family. Contact the Pierson's at 607-793-0118 if you plan on attending.
October 11 - Craft Group. 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Bring your latest crafting project and join us as we sit together and fellowship while crafting. This group meets in the Connect Classroom.
