Through fasting, we practice the sacred art of denying our flesh so we can tune into the voice of the Holy Spirit. This is a time to partner in community with what God is trying to speak into your life, your family's life, and our church.

Holiness comes with opposition
Opposition is defined as resistance or dissent, expressed in action or argument.
Opposition is anything that stands in the way of your pursuit of Holiness.
1. Opposition is when something or someone demands that we give it greater love or allegiance than the Lord.
2. Opposition is when our love for Jesus is threatened or interrupted by something or someone else.
3. Opposition is when something or someone requires greater loyalty to it than to the Lord.

What does it look like to let what is good crowd out what is best?
There is NOTHING in heaven or earth that is better than the presence of God. God is the BEST Thing!

When our fear of man is greater than our fear of God it causes us to lose our faith in the Lord.
Holiness isn’t concerned with people’s opinions because it’s too concerned with God’s presence.
If you want to develop the endurance that will earn you the crown of glory in eternity, you need to be in His presence regularly.
Where does Scripture say the opposition to Holiness comes from?
