Radical evangelism is truly about pursuing – and sharing – the fundamental nature of God. It must be far reaching. And it must be thorough.
Radical evangelism is active! It is to be done all over – wherever we go.
John didn’t stay put. He went to all the area around him, preaching as he went.
We must purposely engage in evangelism as we go – and wherever we go.
God has commanded all of us to take the gospel locally, nationally, and globally.
Radical by David Platt: “Certainly few of us would actually say we would just as soon God annihilate the people at the ends of the earth (unreached, impoverished, suffering) and send the to hell – but isn’t that where they’ll go if we do not take the gospel to them?”
Jesus wants His house full!
Simply telling someone that you’re a Christian isn’t evangelism.
Evangelism means sharing the FULL gospel. We must share the good news of what Jesus did – and what must be done in response all Jesus did for us.
Jesus reminds these men of His purpose and of what preaching the gospel looks like.
Repentance for the forgiveness of our sins will be preached to all nations.
We cannot focus on repentance without confronting sin.
Failing to address sin is falling short of sharing the full gospel, and sharing less than the full gospel is not true evangelism.
Jesus came to call sinners to repentance.
If that is His purpose, we cannot cut this out of our approach to evangelism.
Radical by David Platt: “Jesus created us to take the gospel to the ends of the earth – anything less than radical devotion to this purpose is unbiblical Christianity.”
If Jesus would pursue them so must we!
Heaven rejoices when a sinner repents.
Evangelism calls people to change.
If there is true repentance – there must be real life change.
The gospel addresses sin, points to the change that God brings, and admonishes the people to walk in that change!
Change isn’t just for the sake of change. It brings the opportunity to be refreshed by God.
The full gospel points out that with repentance comes change and that change is found in the refreshing! And that refreshing comes only from Jesus, the Messiah.
Radical evangelism points to Jesus.
The Messiah is coming and will most definitely fulfil His responsibility to redeem His bride – that is the church, those that would choose Him.
John’s message – his evangelism points to Jesus. And so must ours.
Looking at Jesus reveals our sin
Understanding His love and grace brings us to repentance
Walking in His forgiveness refreshes our soul
Radical evangelism must be urgent.
Judgement is real, and it is looming.
Eternity is but a breath away and failing to share the gospel could send someone to face eternal punishment. They will be held accountable for their sin and we will most certainly be held accountable for our silence.
Radical by David Platt: “If we are owned by Christ we owe Christ to the world. Every saved person this side of heaven owes the gospel to every lost person this side of hell.”
Hell is real. Jesus is coming back. And it is time for us to get radical in our evangelism.

Worship Through Giving
Scripture tells us that the things we spend our money on reveal what is in our heart (Matthew 6:21). We believe that cheerful and sacrificial giving of our finances to the work of the local church is one of the deepest expressions of worship that we can offer and shows that we truly want to love as Jesus loved.
