God’s favor of you is plainly stated in His Word – we must simply believe it.
God’s favor is given. It cannot be earned. And He gives it to us
2 Corinthians 5 reminds us that God made Jesus who knew no sin – the embodiment of all sin – so that in Him and by His sacrifice we can become the righteousness of God.
The word used for favor as recorded by Luke is the word for grace!
God’s favor is a blessing – and it is ours. And we can walk in faith because of that favor.
The expectation is that as recipients of God’s favor – we will walk in His will.
When God gives us His righteousness – we must live righteously.
There must be change as we go out to walk in His will for us.
God’s grace is so much more than the instrument of His mercy and forgiveness.
God’s grace is the vehicle of His power – poured out into our lives – giving us everything we need for that godly life.
God’s favor is important because it will empower you to walk in the plan God has for you.
For Mary, God’s plan for her was to be the mother of the Messiah.
No matter where you are in life. No matter how successful you are – or how much you believe you’ve failed. God wants you to know that you have a purpose, and He has BIG plans for you!
God’s plan isn’t just to make our lives plush and easy. His plans are to use us – to put us to work for Him.
Even in the midst of your dark and difficult circumstance, God has a plan for you. In fact – that may be exactly why you’re there. Set aside your fear and believe that God can in fact use you – and He can use you in a BIG way.
Jesus’s ministry was localized. His audience limited. But throughout history as the gospel exploded – the extent of the great works of Christ expanded through His children.
The plans God has for you are and will always be about His glory.
As God uses us in those plans – we must be glorifying Him with our lives and the work He’s called us to perform.
The work we do for God, the work God has done in and through us – it is all for His glory. It is all for Him.
The work we do must always point to Him to give others the opportunity to see Him, hear Him, and respond to Him.
Everything we do is an offering to Him and for Him. So, we must allow Him to work His plan in us – no matter how big – and we must allow God to get the glory for the work.
It is not for us – or about us. It is always and only for and about Jesus.
Give Him whatever you think disqualifies you for service in God’s kingdom – and don’t be surprised if that’s the very thing God wants to use.
The thing that Mary thought disqualified her from the job – is exactly what God wanted to showcase.
Joseph, nor any man for that matter, could father the Messiah.
The work had to be done by the Holy Spirit. It had to be done by God.
We should not be afraid of God using those things in us – because when He does it proves that the work being done could not be done naturally. The work is completely dependent on God and His power.
Whatever brokenness you may be carrying does not scare God. It doesn’t prevent Him from using you. In fact – God is ready to use it. He’s ready to use you!
It is through the all-surpassing power of the Holy Spirit that God can and will use us.
Romans 8 tells us that if we walk by the Spirit – if we make Jesus Lord of our life and surrender to the Holy Spirit’s power – then that same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead will bring life to our mortal bodies.
The Holy Spirit who resurrected Christ will empower you and give you life!!!
The Spirit is in you.
Go out and honor God with your whole self. Give everything you are to the Lord – and watch how He glorifies Himself through your work – and uses it to further His kingdom on this earth.

· Tell someone else how God has showered you in His favor.

Worship Through Giving

Scripture tells us that the things we spend our money on reveal what is in our heart (Matthew 6:21). We believe that cheerful and sacrificial giving of our finances to the work of the local church is one of the deepest expressions of worship that we can offer and shows that we truly want to love as Jesus loved.
