Joshua 3 - 6
Joshua 3 - 6
God is giving this new generation A REASON TO BELIEVE.
You & I don’t get to decide WHAT IS TRUE.
We only have the power to decide WHAT WE BELIEVE.
We only have the power to decide WHAT WE BELIEVE.
Circumcision was the sign of the covenant relationship between them and God.
CIRCUMCISION was a ONE-TIME ACT indicating a person’s identity as BELONGING TO GOD.
PASSOVER was a REPEATED ACT reminding God’s people of His great act of REDEMPTION.
PASSOVER was a REPEATED ACT reminding God’s people of His great act of REDEMPTION.
BAPTISM is a ONE-TIME ACTindicating a person’s identity as BELONGING TO CHRIST.
COMMUNION is a REPEATED ACT reminding God’s people of His great act of REDEMPTION OF US THROUGH CHRIST.
COMMUNION is a REPEATED ACT reminding God’s people of His great act of REDEMPTION OF US THROUGH CHRIST.
The people of Israel are not merely recipients of God's favor, they are participants in His work.
Am I operating as a recipient of God's blessing or a full participant
in God’s work?
in God’s work?
How can I figure out how God might want me to participate in His work?
1. Where does God have me?
2. What has God given me?
3. What PAIN have I been through?

Build your faith on the faithfulness of God.
And then build your life on that.
And then build your life on that.
Next Steps:
- Commit to God that I will be a participant in God's work, not only a recipient of His blessing.
- Review the memorials of my own walk with God
(His provisions and my commitments).
- Place my faith squarely on the faithfulness of God and the truth of His Word.
- Think through the 3 questions (Where does God have me? What has God given me? What pain have I been through?) to help bring clarity to how God might use me in His work today.
