Prayer: God, the events of this day are beyond me. The sun will only rise because you say it will. By your power and mercy this day I will listen for Your voice and do Your will. As Followers of Christ, we are called to be both:
CAPABLE yet POWERLESS
STRONG yet WEAK
CONFIDENT yet HUMBLE
Our Identity is found in Christ:
Children of the King – 2 Corinthians 6:18
Chosen people a royal priesthood – 1 Peter 2:9
Wholly and dearly loved heirs of God – Rom. 8:17
We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us – Philippians 4:13
Ephesians 1:10-11 (MSG) It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
