Expectation: The act of expecting or looking forward to a future event with at least some reason to believe the event will happen. expectation differs from hope. Hope originates in desire, and may exist with little or no ground of belief that the desired event will arrive. expectation is founded on some reasons which render the event probable. Hope is directed to some good; expectation is directed to good or evil.

There is no middle ground - we’re either serving God or not. Our greatest power is the power to choose every day whom we are going to serve.

Two types are fear are described in the Bible...

Fear (good) - meaning respect, reverence and honor to God - referred to 160 times in scripture

Fear (bad) - we’re commanded to not do this 80 different times (fear leading to distress)

Fear of man, death, the future, danger, idol gods, dreams, evil, war, nothing, enemies, punishment, darkness, ghosts, spirit of fear.

If Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, (Romans 10:17) it stands to reason that fear also comes by hearing, but hearing the world. There is a reason why the news is always negative and contains only the stories of the worst tragedies.
