PARKING LOT WORK
The new parking lot work is tentatively scheduled for this week depending on weather conditions. We will keep you updated if this will affect our Wednesday services.
FAITH PROMISE COMMITMENT
We collected more of our Faith Promise Pledges last Sunday and we raised $419 towards our $640 monthly goal. PTL!
We realize not everyone was here these last weeks to participate so we will continue receiving pledge promise envelopes the next couple of weeks. The actual pledge offerings will be received on the first Sunday of each month beginning in August.
Clarification: We currently have a building fund account to which many of you are contributing. This is separate from our pledge fund. The building fund is uniquely used for raising funds for a new building and not used for daily operations or debt reduction.
If you are donating to the building fund, please specify that on your envelope or check. If you are contributing for the faith promise pledge, please indicate that on your envelope or check. We want to be sure that each donation is going to the correct account. Thank you for your help!
To show how God is already at work, we received a commitment from an anonymous donor who has pledged to match all our pledges up to a total of $10,000!! Therefore if we receive contributions totaling $10,000, this donor will contribute another $10,000! What an awesome blessing! To God be the Glory! Let’s hit that $10,000 mark!

Last week, Pastor Keith Miller talked about being still in the storm.
fear: A painful emotion or passion excited by an expectation of evil, or the apprehension of impending danger. fear expresses less apprehension than dread, and dread less than terror and fright. The force of this passion, beginning with the most moderate degree, may be thus expressed, fear dread, terror, fright. fear is accompanied with a desire to avoid or ward off the expected evil. fear is an uneasiness of mind, upon the thought of future evil likely to befall us.
Expectation: The act of expecting or looking forward to a future event with at least some reason to believe the event will happen. expectation differs from hope. Hope originates in desire, and may exist with little or no ground of belief that the desired event will arrive. expectation is founded on some reasons which render the event probable. Hope is directed to some good; expectation is directed to good or evil.
If Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, (Romans 10:17) it stands to reason that fear also comes by hearing, but hearing the world. There is a reason why the news is always negative and contains only the stories of the worst tragedies.
