MEN’S DINNER
The guys will be going to Infinito’s on route 30 near across from Hardee’s on Thurs. Apr. 6 at 6:30 pm. This is an all you can eat pizza buffet and we plan on getting our money’s worth. And we want all you gentlemen to join us and be sure to invite a friend! Please sign up in the lower foyer!

WOMEN OF PURPOSE SPRING TOUR
Ladies, mark your calendars now for the upcoming Spring Tours. The tour will be in our location at Christian Life A/G on Saturday, April 29. Cost per person is $30: Students, Single moms and Seniors cost is $20. It includes a boxed lunch. See the sign up sheet for the breakout groups.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Our VBS is scheduled July 10-14 from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Our goal this year is to reach as many children in our community as possible. The theme for 2017 is “Maker Fun Factory”. In order for this to be a success we will need your help! There are several sign up sheets listing all the areas of our need in the lower foyer. Once you sign up, our leadership team will be in contact with you as we plan for this tremendous outreach!
EASTER EGG HUNT
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held NEXT week, Palm Sunday, April 9th, following the morning service. We are in need of smaller candy to place in the eggs. There is a tub in the Upper Foyer for all donations. We appreciate your support for our children! Please help us by donating small candies that can fit into a small plastic egg! Thank You!
EASTER CANTATA
Join us Easter morning as our worship team performs “Jesus Messiah”. It is a collection of familiar songs combined with newer arrangements. You will be sure to be blessed as we sing about our Risen Savior!
SUNRISE SERVICE
Join us Easter Sunday morning at Pinchot Park as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord in a Sunrise service. The service begins at 7:00 am. With a beautiful view of the lake and the sun coming up, we can experience what it might have been like the morning that Jesus rose from the grave!
GIRL’S MINISTRY FUNDRAISER
Just a reminder for those who ordered Easter Candy, the pick up / delivery date is NEXT Sunday, April 9.
YARD SALE
Please take the enclosed flyer and give it to someone you know who would love to come. There are also additional flyers on the Women’s table. We are encouraging you take some and distribute them to stores and friends. We want to get the word out and every little bit helps. Thank you for your support!

We are beginning a new Easter series today, based on the question Jesus asked, “Who Do You Say I Am”. How we answer that question is the most important part of our faith.

ACTS 2 CHURCH PILOT SURVEY
The Assemblies of God leadership has chosen Dover Assembly and 66 other A/G churches in the U.S. to participate in an on-line survey. The survey can be taken anytime between March 26 and April 9. The survey will be approximately 30 minutes in length and is anonymous. We want to fully represent Dover Assembly as much as possible. Therefore, we are encouraging everyone to participate. If you do not have a computer to complete the survey, the church computers will be available to you when you are able. Help in completing the survey will also be available if you desire. We will email each of you the link that will direct you to the survey. Thank you for your help and participation!

Caesarea Philippi was about 120 miles from Jerusalem. It had been the center for Baal worship, but now became the center for worshiping the Greek god Pan.
Jesus wanted to get the disciples thinking about who He was, so they can make the choice and recognize it for themselves.
How we answer this question determines how we live and what we believe about everything.

They are calling him everything but who he really is. If he isn't God, then he isn't anything.
It doesn’t matter what others think. We have to answer that question for ourselves.
Salvation is a personal matter. It is something that each individual has to decide for themselves. We can’t rely on others.
Peter answers for the crowd, and we assume they all mean it, but in the next verse, Jesus addresses Peter directly...
People in themselves are unable to grasp that truth unless God is working in their lives.
Nobody come to God unless the spirit of God draws him.

For Peter to recognize that Jesus is the Messiah, the savior, means that God revealed it to him.
For us to make the choice to follow Jesus, it is because God revealed who Jesus is to you.

While we can confess Jesus as Lord when we see a miracle or some other emotional thing.
Jesus asks them while doing nothing supernatural.

In the Old Testament, rock was a symbol for God...
Let's look at something here...
Peter (Petros) as we know means a stone.
The word rock here (Petra) means a large stone.
“You are Peter a small stone and upon this big stone I will build my church.
What was this “big stone”?
The church will be built upon the revelation knowledge that Jesus is the Messiah. Upon Jesus is the church built.

The sign of a biblical church is one where every believer gathers to worship Jesus, serve him and serve others.
The church unites people from every walk of life, every nationality, every race under Jesus.
