hey
We always have to assess where we are and adjust to help get us where we need to go.
We have our annual business meeting next Sunday. Why do we have those?

To review what transpired last year and to look ahead to this year. It is supposed to allow us to look back at what worked, what didn’t work and what needs to be tweaked.
Everything needs to be evaluated and assessed periodically so we can understand the times in which we live.

Churches are no different.
Every letter that Paul wrote to the churches in the New Testament was because they had drifted from their original purpose and were no longer effective. And were now allowing things to happen because they no longer were following Paul’s initial teaching.

Paul had to assess the situation and have the church make the changes.

hey
It is God’s church. Not mine, not yours, but God’s.
When Jesus said I will build my church, he didn’t mean he would physically build this building. He meant He would build up His people who are the church. And he does that through us.

We also know that God will call us to do things that in our own strength is not possible for us to do.

But as we step out and because its HIS church, he will equip us and we see supernatural results.
hey
God will do supernatural things, but he does them through us.
hey
Since this is God’s work, we need to ask Him what He wants us to do. Not what we want to do or what we want to accomplish, but what does HE want to do and accomplish.
hey
Why is the church here? Why is OUR church here?

Are we fulfilling God's purpose as a church?
hey
When you receive a diagnosis, you are generally given a plan to help change the situation.
When we come to faith, when we trust Jesus, what happens at that point?

We instantly have a changed heart and changed desires.

And what do we do then? We assess our lifestyle and realize that it needs to change and we take steps to change it.

Thanks for joining us!
