1. How often do you stop and pray for our government, our president?

1 Timothy 2:1-4

Does who is in office determine the need and focus of our prayers?

How do we overcome bias in our prayers?

2. In your group, talk about the tension that arises when trying to live out these verses, especially in the light of changing culture.

Philippians 2:14-16 Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe 16 as you hold out the word of life…

Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

3. It has become the mindset of our society to polarize people and crowd them toward some point of hostility without the possibility of reconciliation.

How do we as Christians practically shine as lights in the dark sky in these conditions?
