30 Days of Scriptures for Mental Health Struggles

DAY 14 OF 30

Day 14: God is With You

Many days, I felt alone in my mental health struggles. No one in my immediate family has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder or has spent several days in a mental hospital. I will also say that me feeling alone aided to my fear of what could happen to me because no one truly understood what I was going through mentally.

Yes, physically I was alone in my experiences, but spiritually I was not. God was and is with me just like He is with you right now. Isaiah 41:10 NIV reminded me of this truth. It says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

God is so good. He provides comfort by saying that we do not have to fear because He is with us. Not only is He with you and me, but He says that He will strengthen us and help us. I can only imagine what you are going through right now mentally, but I believe that you could use God’s strength and help to overcome your mental health struggles.

Additionally, I want to point out a beautiful of this verse is which is the last sentence. God says He will uphold you with His righteous right hand. Like a loving parent guides a child by their hand, God, being your Father in Heaven, will guide you through your mental health journey.

Prayer point:

Heavenly Father, Almighty God, thank you for being with me always. I pray you never leave me and that I always feel your presence, especially when I’m scared. Lord, thank you for being my God. Please strengthen me and help me. Uphold me with your righteous right hand. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
