30 Days of Scriptures for Mental Health StrugglesSample

Day 13: Faith for Brighter Days
There were many dark days in my mental health journey that made me think that there was no way my mental health would change from negative to positive. I’ve been in two mental hospitals on separate occasions, each for a severe manic episode and each manic episode followed by a season of depression.
However, those dark days didn’t remain. This reminds me of another scripture on my list from Hebrews 11:1 NIV. It says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
I didn’t see the dark days going away at first, but even in the midst of them, I had faith and confidence, hoping for brighter days. That’s what I encourage you to do. Have faith for what you do not see yet because faith is confidence in what you hope for and assurance about what has not yet happened. Hold to your faith and hope for brighter days. They are on the way, but you must not lose faith.
Prayer point:
Heavenly Father, Almighty God, thank you for blessing me with faith. Please increase it as well as my hope for better and brighter days. Help me rest assured in my vision for a stable future in my mental health. Lord, I trust you. I have faith in you. Thank you for working in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
