House of David, Season 2: Trusting God in the Middle of the StorySample

God Is With You
Play hide and seek with a toddler and you’ll see how they cover their eyes and assume they’re invisible. It’s funny when a child does it, but not so much when we do it with God. We cover ourselves in shame, hoping He can’t see what we see in the mirror.
David confesses: “Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?” The answer? Nowhere. Not the highest heaven. Not the deepest grave. Not the darkest night. Not the most hidden secret. Even there—especially there—God is with you.
This is both humbling and healing. Humbling, because it means no sin is hidden. Healing, because it means no wound is abandoned. God’s presence doesn’t evaporate in the heat of your failure. He is Emmanuel, God with us. His nearness is not fragile or based on your performance. It is grounded in His promise.
You may feel unseen. You may feel alone. But faith declares what feelings can’t: you are never out of His reach. The darkness may feel suffocating, but to Him, “the night is as bright as the day.” So remember, just as God was with David, God is with you.
