House of David, Season 2: Trusting God in the Middle of the Story

DAY 8 OF 30

God Made You

David’s wonder spills out in Psalm 139: “You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” The One who set the stars into orbit is the same One who stitched your DNA strand by strand.

You are not an accident. You are not generic. You are handmade. Crafted with intention. Formed with foresight. Which means your quirks, your gifts, your struggles—none are wasted in God’s plan.

And because He made you, He delights in you. Not the Instagram highlight reel version of you. Not the future, cleaned-up version of you. You. Right now. That kind of love is disarming. But it’s also disciplining. Because the God who made you loves you too much to let you drift into destruction. That’s why David ends this psalm praying, “Search me, O God… and lead me in the way everlasting.”

When you know the Creator is also your Father, you don’t have to prove your worth. You can simply walk in it.

Reflection Question: What part of yourself do you struggle to see as “fearfully and wonderfully made”?

About this Plan

House of David, Season 2: Trusting God in the Middle of the Story

What does it mean to trust God when the story isn’t finished? House of David, Season 2: Trusting God in the Middle of the Story is a 30-day journey through the life of David—his battles, waiting, friendships, failures, and worship. Along the way, you’ll see the sharp contrast with Saul, who grasped for control, and David, who leaned on God. Each day offers Scripture, reflection, and a question to help you find courage, hope, and trust in the middle of your story. You can watch House of David Season 2 on the Wonder Project subscription on Prime Video.
