The Holy Spirit In Everyday Life
The Holy Spirit equips us to grow in our faith and then to continue the work of Jesus, sharing the Good News and building the church (the body of Christ).
He is active and working in every part of our life. He directs our steps and He is our Helper. Jesus said “it is better for Me to go, so that I can send you the Holy Spirit”. The Holy Spirit wants to be intimately involved in every part of our lives. He helps us in every situation, gives us comfort when we are hurting. He gives us His love, not only for ourselves but for the world around us, so that when we carry His love with us, other people will be able to see the love of God in our lives.
He also gives us hope. Who knows that when we are always watching the news and focus on the negative things happening in the world, we can begin to lose our hope. But the Holy Spirit reminds us of the work of Jesus and how in every season He is with us and giving us His strength and wisdom. More than that, we have the hope that everything in this world is temporary and won’t last forever, but for those who believe in Jesus we can live with Him now and for eternity..
