The Role of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' Life
All throughout Jesus’ time on earth, we see how the Holy Spirit was working in and through Him. When Jesus was baptised, the Holy Spirit came down on Him like a dove. That moment was the moment He was commissioned to start His public ministry, God the Father was saying, “This is My Son,” and the Holy Spirit was empowering Him to begin His mission.
Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit in all He did. In Luke 4, we can see the Holy Spirit lead Him into the wilderness where He was tested by the devil. It was through the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that He was able to overcome that temptation.
As Jesus went out healing the sick and preaching the good news, the Holy Spirit strengthened and equipped Him. The good news for us is that the same Holy Spirit that lived in Jesus now lives in us. He will guide us and equip us to live our lives for God with power and authority.

About this Plan

This week we will look at who He is, the role He plays in our life and how with Him we are empowered to live for Jesus.
