HZY | BRP Week 2 - Who Is God?Sample

By Faith We Are Fully Forgiven
Because of Jesus, we have been restored to God’s original intention - an eternal relationship with Him. The righteousness (right standing with God) we have received is not by our own good works, but it is a gift of grace from God, which is received by faith in Jesus.
As Christians, we understand the importance of both the crucifixion and the resurrection because they speak to the removal of sin and the defeat of the enemy’s plan to separate us from God. Jesus paid for the sin of all people, then, having taken on the full consequence of sin, He rose again victorious over death and lives forevermore. His resurrection is proof that we are fully forgiven and gives us victory over sin. There’s no more sin left to deal with. All punishment and condemnation were completely taken care of in Jesus’ sacrifice. Everyone who puts their faith in Jesus receives full forgiveness of sin.
Because we are saved by grace and NOT our good behaviour, it is not our good behaviour that maintains our salvation. We do not fall in and out of our salvation based on our behaviours. We are secure in our relationship with God because of Jesus and our faith in Him. Jesus has paid the price for your sin past, present and future in the finished work of the cross, and you have begun your eternal life with Him.

About this Plan

Jesus is both fully God and fully man. To help us understand this, we need to further our knowledge of who God is. This week, we’ll dive into what God’s nature and character are like, and explore how Jesus’ death & resurrection changed things for us forever. If you have any questions as you go through this week's plan, please reach out to one of your leaders.
