Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoنموونە

This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him! (Matthew 17:5 NKJV).
Have you exalted Jesus above all?
In Matthew chapter 17, Jesus takes his three disciples, Peter, James, and John, to a mountaintop and is transfigured before them. Appearing at that occasion would also be Moses and Elijah. Peter sort of panicked at the time. Perhaps Peter thinks about Zechariah 14:16–17, which connects the Feast of Tabernacles with the kingdom, and recommends building three tabernacles. But then the voice comes from Heaven, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” (Matthew 17:4-5 NKJV). Peter, although having to write biblical concepts, sadly equates Moses and Elijah with Jesus, and Jesus will have no rivals.
Employment Point: Honor God’s glorious Son above all men.
