How should you respond to the goodness of God?

There are times when I use the call-and-response method during a sermon. For instance, if I call to the congregation, “God is good,” then they respond, “all the time.” Genesis 1 and 2 testify that God is good all the time. On six occasions, the Lord God stops and reflects upon His creation, and says, “it was good” (Genesis 1:4, 10, 12, 18, 21, 25). Then, after the sixth day, which includes Adam’s creation, He shares that “it was very good” (Genesis 1:31 NKJV).

Likewise, God demonstrates His goodness by choosing Mary, who fulfills Scripture by giving birth to the Messiah (Matthew 1:22–23). Turning away from sin and to Him brings salvation for “the goodness of God leads you to repentance” (Romans 2:4 NKJV).
