Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Twoنموونە

Be anxious for nothing (Philippians 4:6 NKJV).
Are you a worrywart?
Abraham has concerns. God is about to destroy Sodom, Gomorrah, and some surrounding cities. Abraham is concerned because Lot is living in Sodom. Abraham could have done what many of us do when we have a problem: he could have worried. Instead, he goes to God in prayer (Genesis 18:16–33). Very kindly, God brings out his nephew Lot from Sodom.
We are told by the Apostle Paul, who is writing under house arrest, “to be anxious for nothing” (Philippians 4:6 NKJV). What a great admonition for us not to worry but rather to pray.
Employment Point: Stop worrying and commit everything to God through prayer.

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
