He has founded his city on the holy mountain. The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, city of God: “I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me— Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush— and will say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’ ” Indeed, of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High himself will establish her.”

On the holy mount stands the city he founded; the LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob. Glorious things of you are spoken, O city of God. Selah Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon; behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush— “This one was born there,” they say. And of Zion it shall be said, “This one and that one were born in her”; for the Most High himself will establish her.

On the holy mountain stands the city founded by the LORD. He loves the city of Jerusalem more than any other city in Israel. O city of God, what glorious things are said of you! Interlude I will count Egypt and Babylon among those who know me— also Philistia and Tyre, and even distant Ethiopia. They have all become citizens of Jerusalem! Regarding Jerusalem it will be said, “Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.” And the Most High will personally bless this city.

The city he founded  is on the holy mountains.  The LORD loves Zion’s city gates more than all the dwellings of Jacob.  Glorious things are said about you, city of God.  Selah “I will make a record of those who know me: Rahab, Babylon, Philistia, Tyre, and Cush — each one was born there.”  And it will be said of Zion, “This one and that one were born in her.” The Most High himself will establish her.

I name them off, those among whom I’m famous: Egypt and Babylon, also Philistia, even Tyre, along with Cush. Word’s getting around; they point them out: “This one was born again here!” The word’s getting out on Zion: “Men and women, right and left, get born again in her!”

The LORD’s city is in the holy hills. The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling places of Jacob. People say wonderful things about you, O city of God. (Selah) I mention Rahab and Babylon to my followers. Here are Philistia and Tyre, along with Ethiopia. It is said of them, “This one was born there.” But it is said of Zion’s residents, “Each one of these was born in her, and the sovereign One makes her secure.”
