Psalms 138:4-6
Psalms 138:4-6 The Message (MSG)
When they hear what you have to say, GOD, all earth’s kings will say “Thank you.” They’ll sing of what you’ve done: “How great the glory of GOD!” And here’s why: GOD, high above, sees far below; no matter the distance, he knows everything about us.
Psalms 138:4-6 King James Version (KJV)
All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, When they hear the words of thy mouth. Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: For great is the glory of the LORD. Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: But the proud he knoweth afar off.
Psalms 138:4-6 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
All the kings of the earth will give thanks to You, O LORD, When they have heard the words of Your mouth. And they will sing of the ways of the LORD, For great is the glory of the LORD. For though the LORD is exalted, Yet He regards the lowly, But the haughty He knows from afar.
Psalms 138:4-6 New Century Version (NCV)
LORD, let all the kings of the earth praise you when they hear the words you speak. They will sing about what the LORD has done, because the LORD’s glory is great. Though the LORD is supreme, he takes care of those who are humble, but he stays away from the proud.
Psalms 138:4-6 American Standard Version (ASV)
All the kings of the earth shall give thee thanks, O Jehovah, For they have heard the words of thy mouth. Yea, they shall sing of the ways of Jehovah; For great is the glory of Jehovah. For though Jehovah is high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly; But the haughty he knoweth from afar.
Psalms 138:4-6 New International Version (NIV)
May all the kings of the earth praise you, LORD, when they hear what you have decreed. May they sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great. Though the LORD is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly; though lofty, he sees them from afar.
Psalms 138:4-6 New King James Version (NKJV)
All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O LORD, When they hear the words of Your mouth. Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the LORD, For great is the glory of the LORD. Though the LORD is on high, Yet He regards the lowly; But the proud He knows from afar.
Psalms 138:4-6 Amplified Bible (AMP)
All the kings of the land will give thanks and praise You, O LORD, When they have heard of the promises of Your mouth [which were fulfilled]. Yes, they will sing of the ways of the LORD [joyfully celebrating His wonderful acts], For great is the glory and majesty of the LORD. Though the LORD is exalted, He regards the lowly [and invites them into His fellowship]; But the proud and haughty He knows from a distance.
Psalms 138:4-6 New Living Translation (NLT)
Every king in all the earth will thank you, LORD, for all of them will hear your words. Yes, they will sing about the LORD’s ways, for the glory of the LORD is very great. Though the LORD is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud.
Psalms 138:4-6 The Passion Translation (TPT)
One day all the kings of the earth will rise to give you thanks when they hear the living words that I have heard you speak. They too will sing of your wonderful ways, for your ineffable glory is great! For though you are lofty and exalted, you stoop to embrace the lowly. Yet you keep your distance from those filled with pride.
Psalms 138:4-6 English Standard Version 2016 (ESV)
All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O LORD, for they have heard the words of your mouth, and they shall sing of the ways of the LORD, for great is the glory of the LORD. For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from afar.
