“Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth.

Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.”

Then the LORD put out his hand and touched my mouth. And the LORD said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.

“O Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!”

Then the LORD reached out and touched my mouth and said, “Look, I have put my words in your mouth!

But I protested, “Oh no, Lord GOD! Look, I don’t know how to speak  since I am only a youth.”

Then the LORD reached out his hand, touched my mouth,  and told me: I have now filled your mouth with my words.

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

Then said I: “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”

Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

But I said, “Hold it, Master GOD! Look at me. I don’t know anything. I’m only a boy!”

GOD reached out, touched my mouth, and said, “Look! I’ve just put my words in your mouth—hand-delivered! See what I’ve done? I’ve given you a job to do among nations and governments—a red-letter day! Your job is to pull up and tear down, take apart and demolish, And then start over, building and planting.”

Then I said, “Oh, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, Because I am a youth.”

Then the LORD stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me, “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, For I am [only] a young man.” [Ex 4:10; 6:12, 30; 1 Kin 3:7]

Then the LORD stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me, “Behold (hear Me), I have put My words in your mouth.

I answered, “Oh, Lord GOD, I really do not know how to speak well enough for that, for I am too young.”

Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I will most assuredly give you the words you are to speak for me.
